In 1988, I spent March - July in Mexico City, in charge of 'trouble-shooting' a commercial dispute between Philips SA de CV and Telegrafos Nacionales de Mexico.

Caught between a rock and a hard place, I had excellent negotiating practice. Yes, I successfully obtained the required customer acceptance of the disputed telex switch.

I like mariachis, Mexican food, and the easy-going attitude. Business was not always easy, as commitments had less value than I was used to. A good experience.
